Vegaversary

Crazy past few weeks. I'm now older. I also have been married now for 10 years. We did our wonderful Vegas elopement that we have been planning for the past 9 years and that was wonderful. It was one of those things that once we got there we both realized fairly quickly that Vegas wasn't really the place for us. We spent a total of $3 on the slot machines. We were quite ready to come home after just 2 days, but were there for 5 days. After we came home, we were excited to just be home and have our daughter back! We had such high hopes for that following week.... which ended up being filled with calamity! First off I started my cycle, which is a very GOOD thing because it happened on it's own, which is fantastic! But with it comes debilitating headaches and general feelings of yuckiness. The refrigerator broke while we were gone.... and nobody seemed to notice... so we walked in to a mess and had to run out and buy a compact frige to salvage what little we could from the fridge and completely throw everything out from the freezer.... the following days were spent trying to clean up the messes from that and look for a new fridge... of course there was no cooking in my kitchen while all this was going on, so it was pretty much out to eat for all meals.... so on one of our outtings to eat we managed to run over the local drug dealers dog... nice... and quite dramatic. Lots of screaming and crying from him and threats that we must "pay up"... police came and were more interested in his involvement in a burgulary.... *sigh*... what a mess.... my daughter was such a trooper through it all... she was saying "Eat! Eat! Eat!" when we left the house and it was nearly an hour and a half later when we arrived at the restaurant. Johnny got called into work so there went one of our vacation days together. Today the new fridge came (the monster $2100 fridge that none of us can really afford) so we spent the entire day trying to re-buy groceries and once again move food from fridge to fridge. The new compact fridge will go in the guest bedroom to be used only when guests come. It seems extravegant, but I really had no intention of rushing into buying a new big fridge, but my mom made sure that I was outvoted. *sigh*... of course almost every night has been filled with insomnia.. much like tonight... crazy twitching in my leg muscles is driving me batty, and I am dreading returning to work in the worst way! I just don't want to go at all! Want to stay home with my family and still get paid... but... can't do that. Must work to eat. Anyway... that's the very short version of what all has been happening with me. I'm going to try to sleep now.
